Ticketscene’s primary role is to provide event publishing, event promotion, registration, ticketing and related software and services to Canadian and United States of America users of Ticketscene and the Ticketscene platform which operates as Ticketscene.ca and Ticketscene.com. We have created this privacy policy to demonstrate our firm commitment to protecting information you submit Ticketscene recognises the importance of protecting the privacy of personally identifiable information collected about our customers. For the purposes of this Privacy Statement, the word customers includes visitors to our web sites, subscribers to and users of our services, purchasers of our products and advertising customers. For the purposes of the Privacy Statement, the phrase ‘EVENT PROMOTER’ means the venue operators and/or promoter(s) of a particular event.
Section 1: Personal Information
We collect personal information when we provide our services to you. We collect personal information directly from you and sometimes acquire lists from other sources, both from other companies and from other public documents. In order to operate Ticketscene and provide you with information on products and services that may be of interest to you, we may collect "contact information" (i.e., information that could be used to contact you such as full name, postal address, phone number and email address as well as your computer's unique IP address if any.
In some instances, we collect "financial information" (i.e., passwords, credit and debit card numbers and bank and other financial institution account numbers) and "demographic information" (e.g., zip code, postal code, hometown, gender, purchase history information and age as well as IP addresses that are not unique to your computer) from you. Although we collect credit card numbers during checkout and over-the-phone box office, we do not store any of this financial information including passwords on our server. All credit card transactions are processed seamlessly through a secure and encrypted third-party credit card processor. Please note that nowhere on the Site do we knowingly collect contact information or financial information from children under the age of 13.
Section 2: Use Of Information
We usually collect personal information such as your name, address, telephone number, email and in some instances, your financial details. When you are online, we collect information regarding the pages within our network which you visit and what you click on. As a general rule we do not collect sensitive information. However, if we do, it will usually be for the purposes of providing our goods or services and if the law requires us to, we will seek your consent to collect it.
We use your information to provide our services to you, to fulfil administrative functions associated with these services, for example billing, to enter into contracts with you or third parties and for marketing and client relationship purposes. Your contact details may be used to contact you to inform you of important information related to an event you have purchased tickets to, for example time, venue, and event changes or event cancellation. Where your personal information is contained within an advertisement which we publish for you, we may also use your information for publication of that same advertisement in other media, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the initial publication.
If you have registered a Ticketscene account with us, we will hold your contact and billing details. Those details are primarily used to provide you with the ticketing services you have requested and to send you information about the Ticketscene platform, any upgrades that become available, new developments and forthcoming features and to charge you for service fees in relation to tickets you have acquired through the Ticketscene platform. If you have booked or registered for events that are listed by an EVENT PROMOTER using Ticketscene and the Ticketscene platform, we keep a record of your booking data to report to the EVENT PROMOTER. Your booking data will be provided to the event PROMOTER if requested for their records and analysis. This booking data includes your personal contact details, not your personal credit card or sensitive financial information, which are given to EVENT PROMOTERS at the time of purchase. If you agree to receiving information at the time of registration, we will occasionally send you our monthly event newsletter and any event listings that may be of interest to you or geographically close to you including any special offers or promotional discounts, earlybird announcements, about future events directly from the EVENT PROMOTER. You are given the option to remove yourself or unsubscribe from the mailing list everytime a promotional email is sent to your email. If you unsubscribe, your personal contact information is still stored on Ticketscene and can be used to contact you about important matters, news, or changes that pertain to your event. Your personal information will never be sold to advertisers or third-parties but Ticketscene may charge advertisers or EVENT PROMOTERS to send special offers or event listings that may be of interest to you only if you are subscribed.
Section 3: Use By EVENT PROMOTER
Your personal contact information such as name, address, email, gender, and telephone number is provided to the EVENT PROMOTER at the time of purchase. This information will be used to provide you with information and offers about future events directly from the venue operator and/or promoter(s) of the event.. EVENT PROMOTERS will use your personal information in accordance with their own privacy policies and laws. If the EVENT PROMOTER contacts you and you wish to unsubscribe from this communication or have any questions regarding their privacy policy you should contact the EVENT PROMOTER directly.
Section 4: Use of Aggregate Data
We may collect certain non-personal information to optimise our goods and services including our Web pages for your computer (e.g., the identity of your Internet browser, the type of operating system you use, your IP address and the domain name of your Internet service provider). We may use such non-personal information for internal purposes, including but not limited to improving the content and usability of our sites and delivery of our services. Ticketscene may use personally identifiable information in aggregate form to improve our goods and services including our websites and make them more responsive to the needs of our customers.
Section 5: How We Use Demographic Information
We may use your demographic information to perform business analyses or to tailor the Site and communications to your interests. EVENT PROMOTERS will use your demographic information for analytical reporting so they can better target their information and offers to you. We may share anonymous, aggregated (grouped) demographic information with advertisers and other third parties so that they can tailor their advertisements and communications to the appropriate audience. Any time that we are allowed under this privacy policy to share your contact information or financial information, we may also share your demographic information along with it.
Section 6: Security
Ticketscene strives to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of personally identifiable information of our customers. We use a variety of physical and electronic security measures including restricting physical access to our offices and firewalls and secure databases to keep personal information secure from misuse, loss or unauthorised use or disclosure. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be totally secure.
Section 7: Access to Personal Information
You have a right to access most personal information we hold about you and if we deny access in some circumstances we will tell you why. To request access, please contact our privacy officer as set out at the end of this document.
Section 8: Divulging Your Contact Information for Legal and Administrative Reasons.
We may disclose specific contact information when we determine that such disclosure is necessary to comply with law, to cooperate with or seek assistance from law enforcement or to protect the interests or safety of Ticketscene or other visitors to the Site or users of services or products provided by Ticketscene. Also, your contact information may be passed on to a third party in the event of a transfer of ownership or assets, or a bankruptcy, of Ticketscene.
Section 9: Public Access to Information
The Site may provide you with the opportunity to post information for display in areas of the site that are accessible to viewing by the general public ("public areas"), including, but not limited to, bulletin boards, social media websites, chat rooms and user-submitted concert or other event reviews. This privacy policy does not apply to any information that you submit for use in public areas. We ask that you do not submit any contact information or financial information for display in public areas, as other people who use the Site will see it. If you submit such information for display in public areas, Ticketscene cannot prevent it from being used in a manner that violates the law, your personal privacy or your safety. By submitting such information for display in public areas, you assume the risks and sole liability arising as a result of such information being displayed.
Section 10: Responsibility
Ticketscene will not be responsible or otherwise liable for any use or disclosure of your contact information by a third party to whom Ticketscene is allowed to disclose your contact information under this privacy policy.
Section 11: Cookies
Cookies are data that a Web site transfers to an individual’s hard drive for record-keeping purposes. Cookies can facilitate a user’s ongoing access to and use of a site. They allow us to track usage patterns and to compile data that can help us improve our content and target advertising. If you do not want information collected through the use of Cookies, there is a simple procedure in most browsers that allows you to deny or accept the Cookie feature. But you should note that Cookies may be necessary to provide you with features such as merchandise transactions or registered services.

Ticketscene may establish relationships with business partners that allow visitors to our Internet sites to link directly to sites operated by these partners. Some of these sites may be “co-branded” with our logo; however, these sites may not be operated or maintained by or on our behalf. These sites may collect personal information from you that may be shared with us. This Privacy Statement will apply to any personal information we obtain in this manner.
Ticketscene is not responsible for the content or practices of Web sites operated by third parties that are linked to our sites. These links are meant for the user’s convenience only. Links to third party sites do not constitute sponsorship, endorsement or approval by Ticketscene of the content, policies or practices of those third party sites. Once you have left our site via such a link, you should check the applicable privacy policy of the third party site.
Section 13: More about privacy on the Internet
Remember to close your browser when you have finished your user session. This is to ensure that others cannot access your personal information and correspondence if you share a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public place like a library or Internet cafe. You as an individual are responsible for the security of and access to your own computer.
Whenever you voluntarily disclose personal information over the Internet, that this information can be collected and used by others. In short, if you post personal information in publicly accessible online forums, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
