About The Red Sandcastle Theatre

Nestled in the heart of Toronto's Leslieville neighbourhood, the Red Sandcastle Theatre is a bold, black box performance venue where, as their motto says, "Anything is possible." This intimate storefront theatre at 922 Queen Street East is a creative haven for indie artists, puppeteers, magicians, playwrights, and performers of all stripes. Operated by Eldritch Theatre, the venue is known for its unique programming, experimental works, and community-focused vibe. Whether you're attending a fringe-style play, catching a magic act, or enjoying an immersive workshop, Red Sandcastle offers a raw and personal theatre experience in one of Toronto's most artistic corridors. In addition to public performances, the space is available to rent for rehearsals, auditions, meetings, and shows, making it a go-to option for emerging and established creatives seeking an affordable downtown venue. Surrounded by vibrant local dining and nightlife, it also makes for a perfect date night stop. As one of Toronto's few truly independent venues, Red Sandcastle stands as a vital part of the city's cultural fabric.
